Listed building consent & consultations

If your building is listed, you will probably require listed building consent prior to work being carried out. We provide an in house service from the very beginning of your project to streamline this process. Wigornia, acting as "Principal Designer" for your project, will consult with you the customer to accommodate what you want from the building with its requirements and limitations; from here we will produce repair schedules and detailed working drawings, liaise with your local authority and ensure the relevant permissions are in place.

Principal Contractor

 Conservation

If your project requires multiple sub-contractors you will need to appoint a "Principal Contractor". In this role, Wigornia will manage all aspects of the onsite project from health & safety to the appointment of reliable specialist sub-contractors. We will oversee all works, ensuring your building is repaired sensitively and to a high standard. Wigornia can work from our specifications or those produced by a suitably qualified architect, engineer, or surveyor.

Wigornia are experts in a range of specialist conservation work, including:

Timber Framing // Carpentry // Joinery Repairs // Lime Plastering // Lime Washing // Lime & Earth Floors // Damp Control // Wattle & Daub // Lime Pointing of Brick and Masonry // Structural Stabilisation //

Maintenance

Wigornia also offers a comprehensive maintenance service with monthly quarterly and annual visits. Our initial visit will be to conduct a detailed maintenance check on your property, highlighting areas that require regular maintenance or a one-off repair. Our traffic light system lets you know which elements are a priority and which elements need monitoring. From this, we can work with you to produce a maintenance plan tailored to your property and budget.
